Will not use again. Very disappointing and frustrating experience. Subcontracted fabricator through Home Depot who... further subcontracted the installation and with no work oversight from J&J or Home Depot. Difficult to reach responsible person when problems arose. Digitally measured and did not prepare a template to work out fit prior to cutting countertop. One piece of quartz countertop cut with square corner when it was supposed to be rounded to match others. Adjoining backsplashes were shop cut at two different heights. Backsplashes not provided long enough to allow for mitered joint cut at angled walls, resulting in butt joint faces not meeting flush at joint. One piece of backsplash cut 3/4" short of countertop length. Installation not so good but it was also affected by the poor shop cutting/fabrication. Backsplash field cuts resulted in poor joint fit. Poor and missing sealant applications. Other issues I won't bother to mention. Took a lot of phone calls to finally get a responsible person from J&J and Home Depot to see the ongoing problems firsthand and ingenuity of an experienced installer to finally make the best of it.read more
The fabrication and installation work by J&J Imports and Fabrication was excellent and prompt. All their personnel... have been very professional. Including our installers today, Romulo and Hector! PS, took off obe star because it turns out a half-inch misalignment occurred with the pieces behind the sink. We’ll address with our backsplash but it would have been nice to have that area aligned accurately.Contracted through Home Depot. We are overall very happy with how our new quartz countertops and backsplash look in our kitchen and wetbar. We appreciated that we could easily go see the slab before installation, J&J was very accommodating, and it was even more attractive than we’d hoped. Thanks so much!read more
I can not give 5 stars due to a couple of stumbles and problems that came up. However Todd with the way he went above... and beyond to fix the problems and get things done was excellent. The installer which I can not spell his name but I know he was from Brazil was awesome as well. He explains things to a T. The plumber Eddie was so awesome he is a perfectionist and will go above and beyond to make sure you have the best work done . Very happy with everythingread more
I was extremely impressed with their work today. Install went very smooth, arrived at 9:20 left at 11:30. They did a... waterfall for us and you cannot even tell there is a seam there. Watching the team leader coach up and mentor the two younger guys I thought was really cool. Contracted through Home Depot. Very impressed--did Quartz with an 18 inch overhang and waterfall.read more
First the positives- The office was very prompt about contacting me to set up appointments for estimate and templating.... The we're also very accommodating in allowing me to come by and look at the slab before installation. Very nice people. The installers were also very polite and did excellent work. Much better templating and installation than my kitchen counters which were done by another company a few years ago. Overall very happy, but I do have a few minor points that could make the experience more pleasant for customers. One - We were told by Home Depot that there would be no up charges, but at the actual estimate they added $150 for an "over size slab fee". It was explained to me that they charge the over size fee because they have to have two guys come and install it as it is too heavy for one person. Considering the weight of Granite and other stones I can't imagine there are many jobs that they don't need two guys for, so that strikes me as a little odd. Two - On the day of the install I was given a four hour window (8am to 12pm) during which to expect them. At 11:40 I hadn't heard from anyone so I called the office to check and was told it would be another hour before they arrived. An hour later the installer called to say they were on their way. I understand things happen and these are very hard working people. But you have to communicate, guys. I've got stuff to do too. These two points are why I gave four stars instead of five. But again, very nice people and quality work!read more
